Researching your home's
history, checking the water service and building permit applications,
gathering, cross referencing and checking all the information available
in the various directories and genealogical databases, checking to see if there are
any historic photographs of your home or street, etcetera, requires anywhere
from seven to sometimes ten days. Inputting, editing and printing all this
information takes at least another full day. Depending on how old your
home is, and depending on the number of neighbouring houses included in the study, you can expect to pay anywhere from: for a standard package. Costs for copies of historical photos or maps from the City of Vancouver Archives or the Special Collections section at the Vancouver Public Library are extra.
